The official draw for the FIBA Europe Cup was held on the 31st of July, 2018, in Munich, Germany, where it was decided that one group cannot contain two or more clubs from the same country.  Once the regular season of the competition begins, we are going to enjoy a classic round-robin tournament with each team playing against each of the other teams both home and away. The top two teams from each group will advance to the second round of the competition, which will feature the same round robin format.

The two best teams from the second round are expected to advance further in the competition, until we get closer to finding out which team is going to take the title this year. Speaking of the title, last year’s winner of the FIBA Europe Cup was Umana Reyer Venezia, a team that secured their first ever Europe Cup victory in the previous season’s finals. Even though there are no major changes announced for this year’s Europe Cup, we are expecting a true basketball spectacle as the season begins.
