This year we are going to watch the 36th season of the top Spanish basketball league known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons. The league’s season will last from October 2018 to June 2019, when we will have a new winner and national basketball champions. The competition will consist of 18 teams, 16 of which are the same teams that competed in the previous season, while two teams are joining from the lower division LEB Oro league. Since the competition operates on standard promotion and relegation rules, the two lowest ranked teams from the last season will be replaced by the winners of the LEB Oro league and the winner of the league’s playoffs.

The opening league’s matches will only be an introduction to the spectacle that is expected to be held throughout the following months. The Spanish ACB league is one of the most watched sports leagues for a reason and we expecting the attendance numbers to grow even higher this year.
