The upcoming matches are going to be played according to the standard group stage round robin format. Each team is going to play two matches against each of the other teams in their respective groups, once home and once away. Unlike in many competitions, the top four contestants in each group will secure their place in the following stages. The current champions of the previous Eurocup are Darussafaka, a team that has won their first cup in the last season.

The top 16 stage of the competition is scheduled to begin on the second of January, 2019. It is important to mention that the cup has been won by 11 different teams since its founding in 2002. This year, we are expecting the lower ranked contestants to step up and bring better game to the table, as everyone is competing for the title and a large money prize. Interestingly, the 2018-19 season of the Eurocup is going to be the 11th season since the competition was rebranded from the ULEB cup.
